So is there really going to be a dog park in washington? I have a little chihuahua and she definitely needs some socialization, I think that would be great for all of our dogs!

It's great to read about something so positive, isn't it? What better way to use FEMA land, than to turn it into a little park. For those few that do not think it will benefit our town, then go find another piece of FEMA property and start working your _ _ _ off to make it the kind of park YOU would like to use. It isn't easy, but nothing worthwhile is....

We're hoping there are a lot of "you" out there. My response to the negative comments, the questions by nay-sayers? "Why not have a dog park? What's it to you? If you don't like it, don't go there." Sort of like - I don't go to Turkey Shoots hosted by local volunteer fire depts, but that doesn't mean they shouldn't have them. Geesh. Life could be so simple, couldn't it?

We are seasonal residents of Washington and previously Chocowinity. My vote is for Washington location. Donations, maintenance and overseeing will be done in larger numbers by Washingtonians in my opinion. We GAVE! :)

Dog Parks are growing in popularity!

Seattle, WA (just a bit more progressive than a little town in NC) has 20 (as in TWENTY) Dog Parks, for humans and their canine companions!

So, kudos to the new Washington Off Leash Dog Park group that is raising money to built this for its residents and visitors!

Donations are tax deductable! Let's raise the bar and sent in those checks!

I can't wait to see Little Isidore and his brother Little Leopold.
They are the greatest one-two punch since Sugar Ray Robinson's left-right. If you love rock and roll and rhythm and blues, don't miss this.
