The original Washington?Since the rain’s been a bit scarce here in eastern NC, it’s time to cover the yard with alternatives to greenery. Like some swell new yard art – picture your lawn is gnome-like splendor. Or better. Maybe you need a weather vane. A hummingbird feeder. A squirrel playground. You don’t have to water yard art. We’re moving toward a river rock yard with concrete compliments. Low maintenance and marvelous beauty. Or a gazing ball?

Now all the historic district in Washington NC needs is a few white-washed tires halved and placed oh-so-carefully along the sidewalks. They make the nicest yard art.
