City of Greenville, NC water supply contaminated

On WITN just now — the Greenville NC water supply is contaminated with e coli. The problem should be resolved within 48 hours. Customers are advised to boil water until further notice.

Nice.

In Costa Rica, the water company turns off the water completely until problems are resolved. Maybe that’s a really good idea. But an entire city, such as Greenville NC which includes a major medical facility, can hardly go for hours without water. What an absolutely horrid thought. PCMH’s water supply is now contaminated with e coli.

The things we take for granted. Like clean water.

    PCMH maintains a private, chlorinated well on its campus to use in the event of just such an emergency. The water supply at PCMH is safe.
